We finally made it, M and I. Next time fewer pieces of sweet potatoes and cook for a bit longer but it was fantastic! There is nothing better than being in the kitchen with my son and daughter. I remember dinner at my house being a timed event and a bit stressful for my mother and it makes me sad to think of, BUT it was the one place she could fully show her love for me, I see that now. I was never allowed to stand next to her and help, so having my babes plan meals with me and work on the meal together is all the more rewarding. Ugh, looking at this picture it may not seem appetizing but try it out…it is a Real Simple recipe from Easy Delicious Meals, June 2013

Hello… wait I already said that.. regardless, HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY. I’m a daughter. Laura’s daughter. And this is her blog, dedicated by me. This is a space. Not an empty one or a cluttered on, but her one. One to imagine and post and chat and be silent among the trailblazing internet explorers. Free to be Magellan with way better hair. My mother is constantly showing me blogs with crafty mothers posting about their everyday lives. She often has the grand realization that she in fact can blog too. Blog quite well in my opinion. So I have taken the initiative to mold the world. Purchase the house and allow my mother to take the first step inside all while promising to dust the book shelves once a week. So welcome home, Mom. Decorate Accordingly and Enjoy.
The best daughter this side of the Missouri River.
